transistor gain and loudspeaker
i'm trying power small loudspeaker (8ohm 0.5w) off attiny output using transistor , have hand these , these. i'm trying calculate base-pin resistor value i'm struggling ascertain gain either of these transistors: specs mention "minimum dc current gain" display value in volts - thought gain should simple ratio... missing here?
also, right in thinking "maximum dc collector current" max current transistor allow through device i'm powering?

lastly, remember reading 1 should wary of voltage spikes when coil devices discharge , diode can protect against this. should worried enough introduce 1 here?
thanks.

the specs mention "minimum dc current gain" display value in volts - thought gain should simple ratio
the gain simple ratio, specified particular collector-emitter voltage (vce) , particular collector current (ic) - higher current, lower gain.
