Re-flashing the Pi without an SD card writer - Raspberry Pi Forums
i don't have sd card writer handy laptop's broken.
re-install raspbian on sd card, experimenting raspbmc that's that's on there now...
there way re-install without external writer?
thinking copy 2nd partition usb flash drive, set raspbmc use usb instead of partition on sd card, use dd copy 2nd partition of raspbian on unmounted partition on sd card (through ssh). either or copy files directly through ssh "mount -o loop" of raspbian img on pc.
re-configure boot 2nd part on sd.
method cause problems?
(i have linux experience first time using pi).

time ago proposed similar, copying sd-card without need second card reader, went naught. wanted such capability because imagine scenario's usefuli, download new os card nothing pi.
i'm not saying impossible, unfortunately won't easy do.
