Unable to view public access content - Joomla! Forum - community, help and support

ive had read around forums answer, , number of people have posted same sort of question no real answers or solution.

i have couple of articles on page - need registered view , others dont (see here http://scrapyourselfsilly.com.au/cms/co ... iew/25/36/).

the "all users" obvioulsy public access , working fine... dont know when stopped working... says need log in view 1 of articles.  ive checked , each article set public, not registered or special.

i created couple of new "test" articles scratch ensuring set public etc, didnt work.

what else can check?  should simple.  :(

am using joomla! 1.0.9 , vm 1.0.4

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
