ADXL345 Accelerometer on I2C Arduino Due

i have connected adxl345 due wired suggested in tutorial: http://codeyoung.blogspot.com/2009/11/adxl345-accelerometer-breakout-board.html
and have issue data receive. reason -1,-1,-1 data values. had similar issue when tried spi, , abandoned because don't have ability connect spi pins on due. while haven't checked tonight, connect setup arduino uno , see if problem persists (i have hunch won't.) if case, there suggestions on should working on due?

i checked using uno, , able accurate data, don't have idea why data on due. unfortunately need accelerometer function on arduino due. can elaborate on issue? thank you

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
