Location in space of a rotating object
hello,
for project, think gyroscope best way of knowing in space rotating object is. object rotating @ speed between 80 rpm , 200 rpm. if object within angular range (e.g. between 10° , 30°) lead on arduino needs activated specific task can started or stopped. should mentioned arduino ir controlled. so, here come 2 questions:
1) can arduino handle 2 'continuous processes: 1 scanning ir command , 1 continuous receiving signal gyroscope.
2) gyroscope + arduino fast enough handle needed accuracy of sensing 1 degree change @ speed
best regards.

what kind of gyro going use?
the gyro's output data rate limited (ie. 50-800 per second based on interface , type), have check datasheet. parallel processing of ir (read via pin) , gyro challenge 200rpm , 1 deg resolution.
