Thread: ifconfig down and NetworkManager

two issuse both sort of related. notebook has , internal wireless card little weak use usb one.

gnomes networkmanager doesnt appear have option "no connection" , tries connect network. me issue in itself.

thought work around "ifconfig eth1 down" eth1 doesnt go down , stays active.

no error messages given "ifconfig eth1 down", it's run root. theres no messages give in /var/log/messages or dmesg , i'm using ubuntu 9.04 latest patches.

help.

gnome's network manager have option "connect automatically". can uncheck option (if set).

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
