Which IC packages should I go for

i have been playing around various ics little while now. have used dip chips because know how prototype them , include them in projects.

some require unsuitable. there other types of chip other dip packages can include in projects.

other dip, have wide variety of surface mount.  of want use surface mount, consider getting devices in package can chip carrier for... tssop, soic, etc...
