Thread: Setting VLC Preferences on Acer Aspire tiny screen!!!

my son has acer aspire running ubuntu. although has small screen, that's not problem.

however, reason we've noticed vlc quits unexpectedly when trying play mpegs , avis. forum post here (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=962291) suggests solution, when call preferences window in vlc, can't bottom of window click confirm changes!!!

there alternative route can take, either via terminal or changing config file? see video output in latter, nothing see defaults video output should (and indeed text in file hashed out)

in advance!

if can't see bottom of preferences window press "enter" key on keyboard after making change(s), changes saved. close , restart vlc load change(s)

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
