help needed ...
use raspbmc , small touch rpi-display watterott steer xbmc (see http://www.watterott.com/index.php?page ... &info=3530).
followed step step instructions of http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpbb3/viewt ... 20#p447220
during installation kernel changed 3.12.21 (of 11 june 2014) 3.12.3+ (of 8 december 2013).
fbcp used file attached http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewt ... 50#p445550
after “fbcp &” @ end of installation, rpi-displays turns on , stays white. no xbmc shown.
tried change /etc/modules settings “fbtft_device custom name=fb_ili9341 speed=32000000 gpios=reset:23,dc:24,led:18 bgr=1 rotate=270” described @ https://github.com/watterott/rpi-display#spi-mode, rpi-display stays black. put back.
started raspbmc , without hdmi connection, no difference.
tried installed https://github.com/tasanakorn/rpi-fbcp fbcp, still same problem white display.
"dmesg | grep fbtft" displays:

wanted use watterott touch display xbmc!
first, tried xbian, have in use year now, seemed problematically..so found thread , tried raspbmc.
failed turorials used , first got white screen , after changing /etc/modules file line recommended watterott, goes black. think have same spi-mode, namely 8 bit.
if not late anyway, managed bring xbmc fbtft-screen, theres 1 little mistake in tutorial http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpbb3/viewt ... 20#p447220, or worked once , wont, don't now.
did testing , showed fbtft drivers missing, can them if delegate rpi-update version published notro, seems compile raspbian fbtft support, it's line used rpi-update:
sudo -e rpi_update_unsupported=0 repo_uri=https://github.com/notro/rpi-firmware branch=latest rpi-update
tell me if worked you, got other errors rpi-update, seems did'nt have them cause didn't mention them.
