16-bit 44.1kHz uncompressed PCM audio output?

good evening!

i student of audio engineering in san francisco, working on psychoacoustic effect utilizes frequencies @ human hearing system sensitive create "laser" sound seems emanate "inside," head.

my desire such end product small box large button stating, "do not press button."  upon activation, box play aforementioned sound @ amplitude sufficient enough illicit otoacoustic emission.  desire box operate standalone device, needs have dac capable of decoding 16-bit, 44.1khz uncompressed pcm audio. (mono.)

i've been trolling forums, , seems there devices play 22khz @ 16-bit, however, effect substantially dependent upon upper-harmonic content, require higher sample rate in order device affective.  (nyquist dictates 22khz playback devices cut off @ 11khz before alias.)

has come across shield/schematic circuit meet 16-bit 44.1khz requirement in small form-factor?  (i've looked @ y2 diy dac build, design increases form factor of device substantially.)

thanks in advance!!

blessings,

richard

so want send data dac @ 88.2khz rate, or 11.3 microsecond/bit data rate, 90us per byte.
fastest spi transfers done @ 0.125 clock rate (8 mhz) takes 1us clock out byte.
if data want in array, read array & write out dac pretty , meet time times needed.
find fast spi dac @ www.analog.com meets needs starting point.
