Help with the basics of setting up permissions for one page

i beginning explore contribute (i have been dreamweaver user years) , in need of way provide different users access updating different pages of 1 of sites. tried add role give 1 of users access single page within web site, seems allow folder permission. concerned connection key ... email user administrative access information? don't see anywhere setting user/password them. concerned sending admin information user should access , change 1 page.

i tried book on contribute no luck , have gone through built in tutorial. have better suggestion me basics? thanks!

i'm going front don't know contribute real well, might wrong. but, i'll tell (i think) know. :)

the permissions in contribute (without publishing server; don't remember if there's more control server piece) pretty limited. maybe can add tags pages limit access? not sure. thing can (and should do) setup ftp account user on server. ftp, can set permissions per folder, per file , per user. when contribute tries publish user, generate ftp error.

when create connection key, if use admin account, password encrypted in key. so, if user edits connection, can't see password, change it. but, right concerned. if set them own ftp account, when creating key, can tell contribute want provide different creds key , can put user's ftp account , password in instead of yours.
