hi all

complete newbie rpi , linux find myself asking loads of questions. here goes ....

know in windows systems there numerous background writes hard drive , pulling power @ wrong time can break file system , kill pc. linux / rpi same?

if answer above 'yes- write disc/flash', there way protect pi disaster in case of interrupted power supply - windows 'embedded write filter'?

keep asking, it's way learn ;)

i'm no expert on matter have read in few places, answer both parts of question 'yes'.

can things protect file system or power or both. :d
if shut down , never kill power should reliable.
possible boot sd card , run usb flash drive.

other things google battery backup, read-only file system , 'journalling file system'.

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
