Thread: How to remove the first 4 characters from a long list of files

hi,
i'm wondering if knows way can edit filenames in folder, first 4 characters removed, , rest remain intact. i've tried googling no avail.

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
