shiftout: does SH_CP and DS have to be pin 11 and 12?

hi,

i've build waveshield , want use 595 adding more i/o's. thing is, waveshield hardwired communicate on pin 11 , 12, , in tutorial: http://arduino.cc/en/tutorial/shiftout says use pin 11 ds , pin 12 sh_cp.

can change other pin or have it's @ exact pins?

reread page , see mean pin 11 , 12 of 595.
on arduino side can use pin (but preferable not 0 , 1 serial port).

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
