Remembering state when revisiting webpage with flash

i need have our flash application remain visitor left when revisit webpage. example, when visitor views our homepage, see our flash introduction , application. can modify our visualization , alter it. may choose visit webpage of ours , come homepage either clicking home link or browser's button. when go homepage, flash application needs way left it.

what's best way accomplish this? can, of course, record every movement on server , have flash app read last known state server. ideally though, application never shut off , reappears when visitor revisits it.
