Thread: Problems with Flash intallation

i have found way many sites detailing how install flash on system. running ubuntu 9.04. when testing install on adobe website (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/action/). nothing. when, site offers install flash player 10, installation fails. when type "about: plugins" in firefox, this:

file name: libswfdecmozilla.so
shockwave flash 9.0 r999

uninstall have, , start fresh, don't know how. tried package installer, error later says "flashplugin-installer" still on system, prevents new installation.

had hoped have been addressed , fixed on past year, but, nope.

libswfdecmozilla variant of flash player - it's not 1 adobe looking for. if no longer want use it, uninstall this:

sudo aptitude purge swfdec-mozilla
now install flash player of adobe:

sudo aptitude install adobe-flashplugin
make sure have 1 flash player installed @ time - otherwise might conflict browser setup

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
