No display on LED monitor - Raspberry Pi Forums

when connecting raspberry pi board led monitor hmdi->vga connector,shows 'no display' on screen :(
there no issue board,on booting green light flickers correctly. have tried changing config.txt file (have wheezy-raspbian.img on sd card)
please guide if have left out something. :|

the trick figuring out resolutions hdmi->vga adapter supports. ( link model helpful )
have adapter been tested other hdmi equipment ?

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
