Thread: ATI Cataclysm install borked video

greetings fellow ubuntu/linux enthusiats.

have been running ubuntu quite time without issues , on current release.

last week installed ati catalyst software/drivers amd/ati site because given ati card @ work windows pc (it identical ubuntu box) , wanted able test card out on ubuntu.

can no longer working gdm/x session. during boot sequence initial ubuntu logo/animated bar works fine. when appears attempt start gnome session seems if several different x configurations being tried, , garbled screen appears , seems locked up.

have booted netroot prompt.

ideas how remove ati catalyst software can go using correct drivers internal video chip?

should add after initial failure, swapped in ati card see if work it, not.

in advance assistance.

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
