Thread: Display resolution too low

just coming windows: how can improve resolution in ubuntu/gnome installation? 1 using low , on screen big , can't find in preferences/display better res. in fact, there 2 options in there. in advance help.
hm

this 1 of things need learn if want used ubuntu, under system , administration click on hardware drivers

if nothing comes go under software sources, under administration , make sure proprietary drivers devices ticked after need go terminal under applications , accessories , type sudo apt-get update or if scared of terminal go under add/remove applications under applications , click reload when says sources out of date

restart

if shows select proprietary driver want install , click install

if nothing comes means hardware either isnt compatible or needs compiled guess dont want in learning ubuntu involves graphics card supported

dunno if need way whenever need install drivers after install, way works
