hello,

have installed ubuntu on pc box had lying around , i'm happy got lot of things working. i'm relative newbie linux although professionally support apple , windows users. command line scares me death fired terminal window, configured samba , i'm connecting fine imac running osx 1.5.8 , wife's vista machine. used remote desktop imac connect ubuntu box , worked great.

here's thing. want use ubuntu box file server , backup machine. have installed second hard drive in ubuntu box, 500gb ntfs formatted. can see fine in ubuntu box, can write it, created folder , shared it. trouble can't see mac or windows machine. want add 500gb drive served file archive when ubuntu box windows machine. made super duper backups (smart images) well. don't want lose data on drive , want write other drive as well. why can't see it?

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
