Thread: LiveCD - ran update manager, got upgraded kernel version. How can I test it?

i have trendnet wireless card complete pain in rear. spent hours (too many of them) trying drivers work using .debs, compiling them myself , following 3 different guides. no dice. saw few reviews card said works out of box in jaunty, after upgraded kernel pushed down. want test before fresh installation on server. how can use kernel upgrade livecd? upgrades, have restart... loses upgrade!

perhaps there way, why not create live usb stick (persistent) , upgrade kernel there?

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000 0x0c != 0x62
