Standalone microcontroller
hi,
i've read lot of how-to's , tutorials on how load bootloader onto new chip, program second chip, etc. can't seem find answer simpler question: can take out working , programmed chip on arduino uno, , put working standalone product?
my sketch simple: virtual wall roomba. it's 1 ir led. ideally i'd want hook +5v power, , transistor drive led. understand, i'd need switch 8mhz internal clock, , should work minimal config. can't find guide how on prototype board itself, can move chip finalized "product."
my plan buy replacement atmega328p chip pre-loaded arduino uno bootloader, , use future projects.
it's got possible

yes want simple really. once remove programmed chip install external circuit. circuit must have 16 mhz crystal resonator , provide +5vdc power , ground chips pins suitable voltage source. few bypass caps , pull-up resistor reset pin highly recommended. think if search on term arduino standalone should able find many examples of how accomplish goals.
