Thread: reformatting the boot sector?


i had ubuntu on laptop dual booting vista. (using grub)

laptop has turned being windows computer hardly ever use ubuntu on system.

needed more hard drive space available deleted ubuntu , extended windows partition.

can guess happened next.

when restarted computer, grub loaded not find operating systems were.

have solution? there way can reformat boot sector hold location of vista? there better way fixing problem? can't possibly have been person space out badly.

need use vista disk or supergrub disk fix mbr.
