actually working on ldr robot , taking inputs analog pins pm arduino motor shield r3,i found values lying between 0 100. when checked analog pins without ldr sensor connected arduino saw values 500 on pins (a0 a5). i frustated , find no solutions.i doubt if because of noise in motor shield circuitry arduino uno r3 alone not show such happenings. please help? ??/  does mean you're measuring analog inputs without connected? in case you're measuring floating pin gives quite random reading. if want have 0 reading connect analog input gnd , read again. hello dear forummer, nice meet all, i'm new arduino... i'm developing car park monitoring system. hava irsensor (like car park sensor) detect item within slot, if sensor detects toy car in slot, means slot occupied/taken. question is, if wanted connect database , updates database everytime sensor detects changes (like change slot status '1' if there toy car detected in slot, , change slot status '0' if empty in slot) i'm using php, mysql (wamp server) currently.. need retrieve data arduino ir sensor , update mysql database (wamp). need code guidance on how arduino can update mysql database...can please provide me code sample if have done similar project?? please help.. thanks, sorry english. this database. basic table consist slot number , slot status (1 or 0). create table seats (    rowid varchar(1) not null,    columnid int not null,    status int,    updatedby varchar(10),    primary key (...

i running karmic on dell mini 10v. did upgrade aplha 4 since did, notification area (which used in top right corner) displays half way screen on right hand side, ie lower should. it's minor thing , bit of strange 1 got ideas/ suggestions remedy it? i in vm running karmic...what graphics driver have installed? pessoal, acho que o meu arduino uno "morreu"... não estou conseguindo fazer ele se comunicar pela porta com, achei que o problema estava no driver windows 8, mas pelo jeito não, pois testei em um windows vista e o resultado foi o mesmo. tentei fazer o loop-back test , e o resultado foi negativo (sem comunicação). consigo programar apenas por isp (ainda bem que comprei um programador!), mas fica ruim sem ter feedback via serial para testes... alguém tem alguma sugestão para eu tentar fazê-lo voltar funcionar? ele "funciona" normalmente, só não se comunica pelo serial... tem como reprogramar o chip usb->com ou verificar se está funcionando? hmmm, isso pode ser um problema. se consegues programá-lo e ele faz o que pretendes (tipo o blink), então é mesmo o chip usb que deu o berro. :\ consegues ver os pinos para ligares o icsp nesse chip?
