hi guys, i'm in process of getting first pi. (the b + ) how setup media center have shared storage on network , let pi access media on wifi. 1 concern have if there delay in streaming 1080 on wifi. prefer running on wifi if there of delay playing audio or video(1080) go thru effort of installing ethernet cable , running on wired network. have experience been far. in advance reply. it's not question of "delay" of bandwidth. i've never seen (error free) 1080p stream across wifi yet (tested on different devices, not on rpi itself). you'll have use wired ethernet, suppose. raspberrypi

hi everyone, i started using captivate , lot of functionality...autorecord, etc. having problem though. have slide presentation 11 slides long. used auto record capture slides , went in , cleaned slides. worked great , able save no problems. however, last night recorded short audio bits 9 of 11 slides , when tried save computer hung-up , required hard-reboot. tried save after each audio bit recorded, didn't far app crashed tried save after first audio recording. using locally on pc/windows xp box. have pentium 4-3.4 ghz processor , 1 gig of ram. have ideas why might happening or how working? any feedback appreciated. -litha hi draggirls, just couple of things t o first check, have tried recroding audio using app on pc , cause app crash? also, have checked audio drivers date soundcard? as aside -- can have pc? lol cheers rossco More discussions in Adobe Captivate adobe

hi all, i'm having trouble connecting wifishield web server using arduino examples "wifiwebserver" , "simplewebserverwifi". i have mega 2560 wifi shield. i can connect router (netgear n600, security , remote management disabled) -- serial monitor indicates connection , led on wifi shield indicates link. i can ping shield windows 7 computer fine mininal latency. however, when attempt open ip address in browser, browser cannot connect web server.  have tried in both chrome , internet explorer no luck. i know router isn't problem, because setup iis on laptop on wireless network , can connect web server (port 80) fine. the serial output simplewebserverwifi example is: attempting connect network named: erichome ssid: erichome ip address: 192.168.1.2 signal strength (rssi):-30 dbm to see page in action, open browser http://192.168.1.2 however, attempting connect address fails.  again, can ping address fine.  don't 404 error -- "...

hello, raid 1 array on kubuntu happens have died on me (stupid seagate firmware). kind enough direct me websites or guides able provide simple if not basic instructions restoring raid array? been quite long time since i've set array , can't remember how it's partitioned (several partitions os , personal data; buying new drives seperate array personal data @ moment). have difficulty identifing drive 1 failed. during boot, it's identified mda2 failed unable determine drive corresponds with. basically, i'm pretty blind in situation. can still boot kubuntu i'll avoid until i've acquired restoration instructions, in event remaining drive fails (haven't updated firmware on either one). have spare drive available though has smaller storage space. data on array not exceed spare drives space though i'd ask if safe set new array different drive contains smaller storage space. i'd grateful if me in anyway. thank in ad...

ok, im new arduino. iv bought mega 2560 model. i quite make midi controller comprising of 16 push buttons. rather using midi din output quite work via usb. if possible integrate dmx output along too, not 1 universe, 2, total of 1024 dmx channels. i know bit ambitious first project feasibility of this, , how go doing it? the specification usb expected provide knowledge of how works. made midi controller after reading midi spec binary stuff , serial messages. dmx new me. read spec. there may ics handle usb on arduino, read stuff. hello all, i'm trying make flash swf 2 frames. on first frame flv buttons such play , seek bar. on second frame there no video , other information. trying make when press button on first frame video paused , taken second frame, if click button on second frame can go first frame , continue video paused. unfortunately can't seem this, video seems pause ok, plays 0 again after click second frame. can't stay paused when navigating different frame. the way pause having layer video on extending along second frame(without making new keyframe, it's 1 long keyframe lasting 2 frames) problem triangle on seekbar still visible on second page, though second page's background above seekbar's layer , else first page hidden. if has ideas appreciated. thanks. do keep going on 2 frames, , try either setting visible of flv false, or set alpha zero, stop showing on second frame. you move off stage, or addchild of flv object isn't visible (say movieclip alpha of zero)....

i built new system new empty 1 tb hard drive. installed windows vista in 200gb primary partition , left rest of disk unused. installed ubuntu several different ways remaining space on disk, can't way want it. want grub dual boot setup ubuntu installed lvm in remaining 800gb empty space. there's guided partitioning option install ubuntu lvm using entire disk, don't want because want keep vista system in first partition. there no guided option install ubuntu lvm in remaining space. set expert mode (f6 initial install splash screen) control on install , tried manually partitioning. created 10 gb swap partition @ end of unallocated disk space, created lvm physical volume group in empty space. created logical volume root / , logical volume /home. install proceeded successfully, got option install lilo. since want grub , not lilo, skipped lilo step , told installer not install boot loader. finished install, there never option install gr...

hi there. i'm having problem couple ssrs in test box built dieing. basically, box (and power supply) used charge large inductor coil. role works great. 3 inductor coils (a b , c) attached @ 1 end. box used direct current needed (a+b-, a+c-, b+c-). used check polarity of unit @ number of points. works fine that. solid state relay in question used switch 15v@5a used charge coils during test. relay using rated 220vdc@25a. clearly should safe rating of relay (even assuming voltage spike when coil discharged) my thought why relay has broken is used check inductor array after hipot test (2000vdc). know fact there bit of capacitance unit (if touch of 3 a,b,c terminals or 1 of them core, it'll give little jolt). i'm guessing when unit hooked testing fixture, charge unit holds giving little jolt relay, , after few weeks of operating, bye bye relay. so i'm working couple angles try , counter this. aside manual way of shorting terminals ground discharge them first, su...

i need have our flash application remain visitor left when revisit webpage. example, when visitor views our homepage, see our flash introduction , application. can modify our visualization , alter it. may choose visit webpage of ours , come homepage either clicking home link or browser's button. when go homepage, flash application needs way left it. what's best way accomplish this? can, of course, record every movement on server , have flash app read last known state server. ideally though, application never shut off , reappears when visitor revisits it. i'll ask quite simple: there triangle movie clip vertices (0, 0); b (256, 0); c (0, 256) each vertex has color (e.g., - red, b - green, c - blue). i need shade entire area of triangle interpolating between these 3 colors. something gradient, has 3 vertices, not 2 linear one. i tried 2 ways: 1) create 256x256 bitmapdata, attach clip , shade triangle in bitmap, manually (just people programming 3d graphics before opengl&direct3d). this works, slow (of course). 2) create 2x2 or 3x3 or other lilttle square bitmap, shade scale 256x256 with smoothing option (attachbitmap's argument) enabled. works quite fast , looks right not quite right. i thought on how accomplish gradient (maybe several gradients), no ideas... you can check out code at: http://heilong.oceanography.ru/flash/lab/ why keep posting same thing? there isn't question in there. have question? most people here looking basic stuff , not gouraud shading. @ general theory level. seems you've got sown up. 1)...

i have application requires servo motor life cycle slip clutch 30,000 cycles @ 15 cycles per minute. the torque ~ 7 in-lbs may test clutches high 25 in-lb. i have never used hobby type servo motors. have feeling couldn't handle type of heavy duty cycling , fail prematurely. i willing spend few bucks robust motor, stick arduino controller. anyone have suggestions on motor suit needs? know hobby type forum want use arduino on project. worrying un-necessarily? if on size motor guess not problem. i looking @ hobby winch motors, seem pretty strong , give me lot of rotation. what think? my hunch go brushless servo motor - nothing wear out except bearings.  unfortunately the drive electronics may more complex/expensive.  hobby servos not engineered continuous use. without knowing rpm impossible further - power rating depends on torque , speed. is 15 cycles/minute rotations or test cycles?
